eBOS participated in the 4th plenary meeting of the 6G-BRICKS project in Leuven

From November 5th to 6th, the 6G-BRICKS project, titled “6G-BRICKS: Building Reusable testbed Infrastructures for validating Cloud-to-device breaKthrough technologieS,” held its annual plenary meeting in Leuven, Belgium. The meeting, hosted by KUL, gathered representatives from the project’s 17-partner consortium to review progress, plan future work, and map out actions for the upcoming months.
eBOS was represented by Dr. Gianna Ioannou, R&D Project Manager, who leads the company’s involvement in the project. eBOS, as the leader of Work Package 7, provided updates on the dissemination, communication, standardisation and exploitation activities. Additionally, eBOS as the 6G-BRICKS Open Call manager, offered insights into the progression of the project’s open calls.
Project Overview: 6G-BRICKS aims to deliver a new 6G facility, building on the baseline of mature ICT-52 platforms, which bring breakthrough cell-free and RIS technologies that have shown promise for beyond 5G networks. Moreover, novel unified control paradigms based on Explainable AI and Machine Reasoning are explored. All enablers will be delivered in the form of reusable components with open APIs, also called innovation “bricks“. Finally, initial integrations with O-RAN will be performed, aiming for the future-proofing and interoperability of 6G-BRICKS outcomes.
eBOS leads the Dissemination and Communication activities of the project. This entails contributing, along with partner support, towards the promotion and communication of its key results aiming to maximise visibility and impact, to industry, the research community, academia, policymakers, the private sector and the general public. Furthermore, eBOS is the Open Call manager of the project, responsible for preparing and disseminating the two open calls organised by the project. eBOS will lead the selection and evaluation process as well as the SubGrant Agreement signature process for the selected sub-projects.
6G-BRICKS project has received funding from the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) under the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under Grand Agreement No 101096954.
