LLM-Powered Cybersecurity Preparedness and Risk Mitigation for Critical Infrastructure Protection
Overview
LLM4CIP is a European initiative dedicated to developing a comprehensive and scalable cybersecurity platform that enables critical infrastructure operators and essential service providers to proactively address emerging cyber threats. By combining the capabilities of Large Language Models, advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning methods, and digital twin technology, LLM4CIP creates a holistic ecosystem for vulnerability testing, dynamic risk assessment, and strategic mitigation.
As digital transformation accelerates and cyberattacks grow more sophisticated, organisations face increasing challenges in timely threat detection and effective risk management. While the European Union has strengthened cybersecurity efforts, there is still a clear need for European developed Artificial Intelligence solutions in automated penetration testing and cyber range training.
LLM4CIP aims to address this gap by offering a trusted platform that enhances organisational cybersecurity readiness. It delivers intelligent, user-friendly tools that simplify complex security tasks and equip both technical and non-technical users with the capabilities they need to anticipate, manage, and respond to evolving cyber threats. LLM4CIP supports greater resilience across Europe’s digital ecosystem.

eBOS Role in the Project
eBOS leads Quality Assurance for LLM4CIP, ensuring project progress, technical excellence, and timely delivery of milestones and outputs. In parallel, eBOS acts as the project’s Risk Manager, continuously monitoring risks and implementing effective mitigation and reporting processes. This dual role enables early detection of challenges and supports overall project resilience.
eBOS also serves as Dissemination & Communication Manager, designing and executing a comprehensive strategy to maximise visibility, impact, and stakeholder engagement across SMEs, industry, cybersecurity providers, policymakers, and the wider public. Through scientific publications, events, and interactive outreach, eBOS promotes the project’s Large Language Model‑powered and Artificial Intelligence‑driven infrastructure protection solutions.
Additionally, eBOS leads the market analysis of Artificial Intelligence‑powered cybersecurity, identifying emerging threats, market opportunities, and pathways for commercialisation to secure long‑term uptake of the LLM4CIP platform. In parallel, it contributes technically by integrating a Reinforcement Learning module for adaptive cyber threat detection.
