Overview
The GENIUS project aims to integrate, evaluate, and demonstrate advanced 5G/6G technologies in the automated transportation and logistics vertical, spanning ports, airports, and urban scenarios. To ensure results that are statistically meaningful and broadly transferable across the logistics sector, three complementary trial sites have been selected: the Port of Barcelona, the Airport of Athens, and the City of Aveiro. These environments are not separate verticals but representative contexts within logistics, covering maritime, air, and urban multimodal operations. To achieve this ambitious plan, the following objectives are targeted in the project.
Objectives
Demonstration and validation of advanced 6G use cases for enhanced and automated logistics operations in ports, airports, and multimodal transportation in cities.
Design and development of sustainable and scalable 6G infrastructures and enablers for logistics.
Integration, Operational Validation, and Assessment of 6G Technology Enablers in Real-World Logistics Trials.
Creation of viable business models demonstrating clear sustainability and economic impact.
Active contribution to standards, sustainability actions, and SNS programmatic goals for 6G Logistics.
eBOS Role in the Project
eBOS will play a key role in the GENIUS project by contributing to both the technical foundation and the strategic impact of the project. It will lead the definition of the project use cases, requirements, and key performance and value indicators, while driving the design of the overall system architecture and enabling technologies to ensure a coherent and scalable framework for the GENIUS solution. From a technical perspective, eBOS will design and develop three core AI-driven security assets: an AI/ML-based anomaly and threat detection engine for the identification of cyber threats, an AI-based decision engine that recommends optimal mitigation actions based on the detected risks, and an AI-driven Software-Defined Perimeter (SDP) solution to enable secure, adaptive, and context-aware access management. In parallel, eBOS will lead the project’s communication, dissemination, exploitation, and business modelling activities, ensuring the effective promotion of project achievements, fostering stakeholder engagement, supporting standardisation efforts, and defining sustainable exploitation strategies that maximise the long-term impact and market uptake of the GENIUS innovations.
