eBOS Showcased 6G Innovations at IEEE NFV-SDN 2025 in Athens
eBOS actively participated in the IEEE Conference on Network Function Virtualisation and Software Defined Networks (IEEE NFV-SDN 2025), held on 10–12 November 2025 in Athens, Greece, highlighting its strong role in 6G research, AI-driven automation, and federated experimentation technologies.
Represented on-site by Gianna Avgousti, eBOS presented the SUNRISE-6G Experimentation Portal: Enabling Seamless Testing Across 6G Platforms, a live demo showcasing a federated platform that integrates 14 European testbeds for end-to-end 6G experimentation.
SUNRISE-6G also co-organised 2 Special Sessions with the 6G-BRICKS project, during which consortium partners presented 11 papers. Additionally, the SUNRISE-6G project hosted its first Hackathon, supporting the onboarding of new testbeds and applications into the federation and promoting collaboration across Europe’s research and innovation ecosystem.
Across the conference, eBOS contributed through 6 major EU-funded 6G projects, each demonstrating advancements through papers, workshops, and demos:
- SUNRISE-6G delivered a live portal demo, co-chaired 2 Special Sessions, and promoted the project’s federated experimentation capabilities. eBOS contributes to the core development of the portal’s front- and back-end systems and also leads dissemination and communication.
- 6G–BRICKS collaborated closely with SUNRISE-6G in 2 joint Special Sessions, presenting innovations in federated AI frameworks and intent-driven network management, supported by partner demos. eBOS leads the dissemination, communication, and open calls that enable third parties to validate and expand the capabilities of the 6G-BRICKS platform.
- ADROIT–6G participated in a dedicated Special Session presenting 5 papers on AI-driven automation and real-time infrastructure validation with a related demo showcased by partners.
- 6G-PATH showcased the project through an exhibition booth featuring a roll-up banner and a video presentation on a screen.
- 6G–INTENSE participated jointly in 2 Special Sessions, presenting research showcasing advances in intent-driven automation and AI-native orchestration for 6G. As a core partner, eBOS leads the Domain Manager and Orchestrator (DMO) implementation and the integration of Native AI mechanisms.
- FLECON-6G participated jointly in 2 Special Sessions. In FLECON-6G eBOS leads the design and implementation of the Smart Marketplace, enabling dynamic exposure and brokerage of AI models, Digital Twins, and network resources.
Through these initiatives and joint contributions, eBOS continues to support the European Union’s leadership in trustworthy, intelligent, and sustainable 6G networks, delivering software innovations that help shape the digital infrastructure of tomorrow.
