eBOS represented the XGain project in the “First One-Health Agri-Tech Workshop: Exploring Smart Solutions for a Sustainable Future”
On May 27, 2025, eBOS participated in the First One-Health Agri-Tech Workshop: Exploring Smart Solutions for a Sustainable Future, organized by Synelixis Solutions SA as part of the EU-funded NESTLER project.
During the event, Dr. Panayiotis Klitou, R&D Project Manager at eBOS, represented the EU-funded XGain project. Dr. Klitou delivered an insightful presentation outlining the project’s key achievements and conducted a live demonstration of the Knowledge Facilitation Tool (KFT) – a web-based platform developed within the project. The KFT aims to bridge the digital divide in rural and coastal regions across Europe by providing stakeholders with access to innovative technological solutions.
The NESTLER workshop centred on the integration of advanced technologies—such as remote sensing, AI-driven analytics, and circular economy principles—into agri-tech systems to promote food security and environmental sustainability. The event brought together stakeholders from various EU-funded initiatives, fostering collaboration, exploring synergies, and facilitating the exchange of best practices among projects such as XGain, NESTLER, and GEORGIA.
The XGain project supports sustainable, inclusive, and balanced development across rural, coastal, and urban areas. It seeks to enhance systemic resilience, improve energy efficiency, mitigate climate change, and reduce the digital divide across populations, sectors, and regions. Through the KFT, users can explore a rich repository of smart next-generation (XG) technologies, last-mile connectivity solutions, and edge computing tools, along with assessments of their socio-economic and techno-environmental impacts.
Within XGain, eBOS is responsible for the design, development, digitisation, and integration of the KFT. The company also leads Work Package 5 (WP5), focusing on technology validation and impact assessment, leveraging its extensive expertise in the telecommunications sector. Additionally, eBOS plays a key role in quality assurance, risk management, and the maintenance of the project’s official website.
This 36-month EU-funded Research and Innovation Action, funded under the Horizon Europe programme, officially started on September 1, 2022, under grant agreement number 101060294.
