eBOS participates in the ISMED-CLIM Annual Meeting 2025 in Nicosia, Cyprus

On 24–25 November 2025, the ISMED-CLIM consortium convened in Nicosia, Cyprus, for its Annual Meeting, hosted at the Shiakolas Educational Center of Clinical Medicine. The meeting brought together more than 60 experts from the Mediterranean region to review progress, discuss upcoming milestones, and coordinate next steps toward delivering climate-resilient public health interventions across eight demonstration sites and six replication sites.

Representing eBOS Technologies, Senior Project Manager & Technical Leader Mr. Sozos Karageorgiou actively contributed to the internal technical programme. During the ISMED-CLIM Progress Overview – Part 1 session, he presented key progress in WP3, highlighting advancements in data model harmonisation, integration workflows for the ISMED-CLIM digital platform, and the technical foundations supporting the next phase of Living Lab deployments.

Later in the day, Mr. Karageorgiou co-delivered the Plenary Training Workshop on the ISMED-CLIM e-Platform & Early Warning System, showcasing the system’s current capabilities, planned integrations with living lab processes, and the roadmap toward a unified digital environment for vulnerability assessment, early warning, and policy-level decision support.

The meeting facilitated constructive exchanges among project partners, ensured alignment on upcoming deliverables, and strengthened collaboration ahead of WP4 living-lab deployments and WP5–WP6 knowledge platform development activities.

ISMED-CLIM aims to address the growing health impacts of climate change across the Mediterranean by developing, testing, and scaling innovative adaptation solutions. The project brings together leading academic, clinical, public-health, and technology organisations to better understand how heat exposure, air pollution, and climate-driven vector-borne diseases affect vulnerable populations.

To achieve this, the project integrates epidemiological evidence, environmental data, behavioural insights, and real-world observations from eight Living Labs and six replication sites across five European countries. These multidisciplinary inputs feed into a unified data and knowledge infrastructure that supports evidence-based adaptation strategies.

In ISMED-CLIM, eBOS leads the development of the project’s Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), creating the digital applications that connect end users, Living Labs, and policymakers with the project’s climate-health intelligence. This work covers four core components: the main portal that unifies platform services and ensures integration with the EU Climate-ADAPT platform; the Living Labs Management Portal that supports the coordination and monitoring of climate-resilience interventions across all demonstration sites; the Citizen App, which delivers real-time forecasts, alerts, and personalised prevention guidance; and the Policy Dashboard, which provides intuitive visualisations and evidence-based decision-support tools for climate-adaptation planning. Through these contributions, eBOS ensures that ISMED-CLIM’s scientific and technical outputs are transformed into accessible, user-friendly, and impactful digital solutions.

The ISMED-CLIM project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No 101156653.
