eBOS participated in the 6th online Plenary Meeting of the FIDAL project

On January 9, 2025, eBOS participated in the 6th plenary meeting of the FIDAL project, held online. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ioannis Markopoulos, representing NOVA, and gathered 19 partners to review the project’s progress and make key decisions to optimize its final phase. Mr. Poulikakos Vasilis, R&D Project Manager at eBOS, presented the latest advancements in Quality and Risk Management, providing critical insights into ensuring the project’s successful execution.

The FIDAL project aims to enhance human capabilities by conducting large-scale field trials of advanced applications utilizing Beyond 5G (B5G) technologies. These trials focus on ultra-high speed, low latency, and AI-driven management, applied in vertical domains such as Extended Reality (XR). By integrating advanced sensing, geolocation, and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), FIDAL seeks to provide invaluable insights to both industry and academia, paving the way for the future deployment of B5G networks across Europe.

As the Quality and Risk Manager of the FIDAL project, eBOS plays a crucial role in:

  • Monitoring the project’s progress to ensure proactive risk mitigation measures are in place, safeguarding the planned outcomes.
  • Establishing and implementing a set of Quality Assurance procedures for the consortium to follow.
  • Ensuring that all project deliverables are of high quality, submitted on time, and aligned with the project scope.

In addition to its Quality and Risk Management responsibilities, eBOS supports the design and development of an AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) module that will enable intelligent experimentation related to vertical deployment on the network. Moreover, eBOS contributes to the evaluation, deployment, and integration of testbeds and large-scale infrastructure components during the trials, including the Open Call trials.

FIDAL project has received funding from the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) under the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No 101096146.
