eBOS Hosts 5th FuelSOME General Assembly at Its Headquarters
On May 5u20136, 2025, eBOS Technologies had the pleasure of hosting the 5th General Assembly (GA) meeting of the FuelSOME project at its headquarters in Nicosia, Cyprus. The two-day event gathered all project partners to evaluate the current progress and synchronize upcoming milestones. The first day featured presentations from each work package, offering updates and aligning on key technical goals. To foster stronger collaboration, a social dinner was organized, allowing partners to engage in informal discussions and networking. The second day was dedicated to three targeted workshops: a Technical Workshop reviewing characterization results and preparing for testing synergies, a Techno-Economic Workshop presenting early TEA and LCSA findings, and a Strategic Exploitation Workshop discussing post-project business opportunities and long-term impact planning. These sessions contributed to shaping the next phases of development and ensured that all partners are strategically aligned for the path forward.
FuelSOME is an EU-funded research and innovation project aiming to advance sustainable maritime energy solutions by developing a multi-fuel Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) system. The project combines cutting-edge research in fuel processing, system integration, and sustainability assessment to support the transition to clean maritime propulsion technologies. Through collaboration between academic, industrial, and research partners, FuelSOME is addressing both the technical and economic challenges of future marine energy systems.
As Dissemination and Communication Manager of the FuelSOME project, eBOS Technologies, represented by Mr. Thomas Azrak (R&D Project Manager), plays a pivotal role in maximizing project visibility and impact. eBOS leads the Work Package on Dissemination, Communication, and Exploitation, as well as the Quality Assurance & Risk Management task, ensuring that project results are effectively shared with stakeholders, while also maintaining the highest standards in project performance and risk mitigation.
Multifuel SOFC system with Maritime Energy vectors project is funded by the European Union. By European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency under the grant number 101069828
