eBOS participated in the final GUARDEN plenary meeting in Brussels

The 15th European Aeronautics Science Network (EASN) International Conference took place from 14 to 17 October 2025 in Madrid, Spain, bringing together leading researchers, institutions, and industrial partners in aerospace innovation. As part of the conference, the CAELESTIS Month 42 final event was held on October 15 at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, showcasing the project’s achievements in advancing aviation through virtual prototyping, lightweight materials, and high-performance computing.

Gianna Avgousti, eBOS R&D Project Manager, represented the company at the conference and the CAELESTIS final event, where she presented eBOS contributions on Cybersecurity, in the paper titled “Manufacturing of an Engine Outlet Guide Vane with Automated Fibre Placement and One-Shot Resin Transfer Moulding Process”. eBOS highlighted the cybersecurity aspects of the project, demonstrating the company’s expertise in integrating secure digital solutions within advanced manufacturing processes. The event also featured keynote speeches, project presentations, and discussions on the future of aviation, including digital twins, simulation workflows, and experimental-to-numerical performance assessment methods.

The CAELESTIS project aims to revolutionise aircraft component manufacturing by integrating advanced composites, automated fibre placement (AFP), one-shot resin transfer moulding (RTM), and high-performance computing simulations. eBOS main technical contribution focuses on cybersecurity considerations analysis and recommendations, software interoperability with the CAELESTIS digital thread, and integration with the CAELESTIS Interoperable Simulation Ecosystem.

Certified to ISO 27001, EBOS ensures that the project complies with stringent cybersecurity standards, implementing defence mechanisms to safeguard data, intellectual property, and end-users within the digital ecosystem. The cybersecurity analysis is explicitly applied to industrial design and manufacturing simulation applications, addressing the particular needs of cyber-physical systems.

The project has achieved key milestones, including the development of an HPC-based simulation ecosystem, the experimental validation of outlet guide vanes using a building-block approach, and the creation of permeability surrogate models connecting AFP to RTM processes. The CAELESTIS final event highlighted these achievements and set the stage for future activities, including the broader deployment of these technologies in aerospace manufacturing and further research into secure, data-driven digital twins for aircraft components.
