eBOS Co-Hosts the COGNIFOG Consortium Meeting in Nicosia, Cyprus
On June 11-12, the COGNIFOG project team met in Nicosia, Cyprus for a two-day plenary meeting hosted by eBOS and CEA. The event brought together key partners to assess progress, address challenges, and plan the next steps for the project. Dr. Kyriaki Psara (Senior R&D Project Manager) and Dr. Charalambos Klitis ( Senior R&D Project Manager) from eBOS contributed to discussions on work package progress and dissemination strategies. Focus was placed on refining the Cognitive-Fog platform, aligning trial KPIs, and reviewing exploitation plans. The meeting also included important sessions on ethics, technical management and future collaborations, concluding with a social dinner that provided further networking opportunities.
COGNIFOG is an innovative initiative aimed at building an AI-powered Edge Cloud Continuum for cognitive computing environments. By enabling the processing of data closer to its origin, the project improves privacy, real-time responsiveness, reliability, and efficiency in smart IoT applications. COGNIFOG addresses the challenges of fragmented edge resources by delivering an interoperable and scalable architecture that bridges the edge, fog, and cloud layers for seamless integration.
eBOS is leading the impact creation strategy of the COGNIFOG project, with responsibilities spanning stakeholder engagement, communication, dissemination, and market adoption. On the technical front, eBOS contributes significantly to the application layer development, including:
- Designing and implementing a user-centric front-end dashboard
- Developing APIs to facilitate third-party integrations
- Training AI/ML models for real-time anomaly detection and secure data handling
With its strong background in AI, software engineering, and cybersecurity, eBOS is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of cognitive IoT systems through its contributions to the COGNIFOG platform.
Dashboard, which aspires to provide users with a holistic view of an organisationu2019s cybersecurity standing and status by summarising and presenting the information and data provided by all the CyberSuite tools in a user-friendly and actionable manner. On the non-technical front, eBOS leads the task of market research & analysis and the work package of Dissemination, Communication and Market Uptake, which includes all of the projectu2019s D&C, exploitation, intellectual property rights management and business modelling activities.u00a0
