DataBri-X project holds its 5th plenary meeting in Budapest

On 30 September 2024, the DataBri-X project held its 5th plenary meeting in Budapest, Hungary. Hosted by Wolters Kluwer Deutschland (WKD), Athena Research Centre (ARC) and the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA), the meeting gathered representatives from all 14 participating organizations. eBOS was represented by the R&D Project Manager Dr. Marilena Paraskeva who is coordinating the company’s involvement. The meeting, marking the project’s Month 24 milestone, provided an opportunity to review recent progress and future plans. During the meeting, the Project Coordinator, Dr. Stelios Sartzetakis from ARC, introduced the agenda and addressed project management issues. The project’s Technical Manager Dr. Javad Chamanara, from Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) reported on post mid-term review and summer developments. Presentations covered requirements, technical specifications, process and tools development, toolbox integration, and impact maximization. The meeting evaluated current work, compared it with the timetable, and outlined next steps. Use cases from NOVA, SIEMENS, and WKD were presented, detailing their status and future actions.

DataBri-X aims to provide a holistic, energy-efficient, and user-friendly ToolBox of practical, robust and scalable bricks/Bri-X (processes, technologies and tools) that improve the interoperability, usability, discoverability, quality, and integrity of data and metadata, with the scope of making data sets ready for expanded digital value creation in the context of European Data Spaces. The DataBri-X ToolBox will be offered in compliance with accountability, fairness, privacy, and confidentiality regulations as well as FAIR (findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability) principles, and builds on existing and emerging initiatives.

eBOS’s role in the project involves advancing the DataViz tool for sophisticated 3D data visualization. This tool is designed to improve data presentation and facilitate the extraction of valuable insights to support decision-making. eBOS plans to incorporate these enhancements into its WiseBOS Platform, thereby improving dashboard functionalities and streamlining the development, testing, and deployment of innovative applications. Additionally, eBOS is responsible for project quality assurance, risk management, and overseeing the design, development, and execution of dissemination and communication activities. This effort is supported by all consortium partners to maximize the project’s outreach.
