From kick-off to delivery: PAISES-6G holds its first online plenary
October 08, 2026 From kick-off to delivery: PAISES-6G holds its first online plenary On 22-23rd September 2026, partners from across the PAISES-6G consortium met online for the project’s first plenary since the kick-off in June 2026. 40+ participants (only 37 shown here) from all 18 partner organisations in 9 countries took part. The meeting had a clear purpose: to turn the shared vision agreed at the kick-off into a concrete, measurable plan for the next three years. What we discussed Measuring impact. Partners reviewed the project’s key performance indicators (KPIs), the measurable targets PAISES-6G has committed to meet. For each one, the consortium agreed how it will be measured, who will track it and when progress will be reported. The targets range from the technical, such as cutting the time needed to securely deploy a software update to 30 minutes or less, to the project’s wider impact, including more than 40 scientific publications and 20 contributions to international standards. Progress on our Innovative Solutions. PAISES-6G is developing at least 14 Innovative Solutions to make future 6G networks secure, private and trustworthy. They are organised around three pillars: running AI safely inside the network, protecting the network as a whole, and keeping users’ data and identities private. Over the coming months, these solutions will move from design to implementation, with the project’s key results targeted for laboratory validation by month 24 and validation in a realistic environment by the end of the project. They will then be brought together and demonstrated in three proofs of concept: industrial IoT, privacy-preserving services, and global security. The consortium thanks Pablo Serrano (UC3M), Project Coordinator, and Roberto González Sánchez (NEC Laboratories Europe), Technical Manager, for steering the meeting and setting an ambitious roadmap for the months ahead. What comes next The next milestone is the consortium’s first in-person plenary since the kick-off, to be held in Torino, Italy, in December 2026. After months of working across screens, partners will meet face to face to review early progress on the Innovative Solutions, align on integration plans and strengthen the collaboration behind the project. It will also be a chance to get a proper Italian taste of PAISES-6G.Follow our progress on LinkedIn and YouTube, find our open publications on Zenodo, and subscribe to our newsletter. Visit Page eBOS Technologies has two roles in PAISES-6G: technical contributor and dissemination and communication lead. On the technical side, eBOS contributes to IS7, the eXplainable Game-theory Intrusion Detection Engine. IS7 is an Intrusion Detection System that combines game theory with Explainable AI. Game theory models attacker–defender interactions to drive adaptive, proactive defence. Explainable AI makes the detection reasoning interpretable to security analysts. IS7 addresses Objective OO#3, advances from TRL 2 to TRL 4, and is validated in WP5 through PoC 2 (Use Case 2.2). T3.2 (Automatic vulnerability detection), led by NEC T3.3 (AI-driven Intrusion Detection and anomaly detection), alongside IMDEA and NETAI On the communication side, eBOS leads Task T7.1 (Dissemination and Communication) within WP7, which TIM leads overall. eBOS owns two deliverables: D7.1, Project Website and Online Presence: submitted at M3 (August 2026). The website paises-6g.eu is live, alongside the LinkedIn page, the YouTube channel and the Zenodo community. D7.2, Initial CDE Strategy Plan: due at M6 (30 November 2026). It is currently at v0.9, with partner inputs due on 30 October and the full draft due for quality and peer review on 31 October.
