Agentic6G Kick-Off Meeting Launches Autonomous AI Innovation for Future 6G Networks

On 13–14 May 2026, the Agentic6G project officially launched with its Kick-Off Meeting in Bucharest, Romania, hosted by Orange Romania (ORO). The meeting brought together consortium partners from across Europe to present the project vision, align on the technical roadmap, and coordinate the first implementation and collaboration activities for the project.

During the two-day meeting, partners discussed the overall project objectives, technical work plan, architecture approach, and the first dissemination and communication activities. Key discussions focused on the development of autonomous multi-agent AI systems for future AI-native 6G networks, including distributed orchestration, multi-agent collaboration, AgenticOps lifecycle management, and self-organising capabilities supporting resilient and trustworthy 6G environments.

Agentic6G aims to develop a distributed Agentic AI framework capable of enabling intelligent, adaptive, and trustworthy decision-making across the device–edge–cloud continuum in future Beyond-5G and 6G networks. The project focuses on autonomous orchestration, distributed intelligence, and advanced multi-agent collaboration to support scalable and resilient AI-native network operations.

The project will also introduce self-organising capabilities such as spontaneous agent generation, self-healing, self-protection, and adaptive scaling mechanisms. These technologies will be validated through representative technical use cases and advanced demonstrations, including swarm intelligent robotics scenarios. The Kick-Off Meeting marked the successful initiation of the project’s technical, collaboration, and dissemination activities, with the first communication and visual identity actions already underway.

eBOS plays a key role in Agentic6G by contributing to both the technical development and the dissemination activities of the project. Building on its experience in AI-driven cybersecurity and European research initiatives, eBOS will design and develop a security AI agent for future AI-native 6G networks, supporting intelligent monitoring, threat detection, and autonomous response in distributed environments. In parallel, eBOS leads the project’s Dissemination & Communication activities, ensuring the effective promotion, visibility, and outreach of Agentic6G across the scientific community, industry, policymakers, the SNS JU ecosystem, and the wider public.
