6G-INTENSE 2nd Plenary Meeting in Sophia Antipolis France
On February 25-26, 2025, eBOS participated in the 2nd plenary meeting of the 6G-INTENSE project, held in Sophia Antipolis, France, hosted by Eurecom. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Christos Verikoukis and gathered project partners to review progress and discuss strategic directions for the next phase. Representing eBOS, Mr. Vasilis Poulikakos, R&D Project Manager, and Dr. Charalambos Klitis, R&D Senior Project Manager presented the latest advancements providing important insights into ensuring the project’s successful execution.
The 6G Smart Networks of the future will enable high-performance, energy-efficient infrastructure, driving digital transformation and smart societies. 6G-INTENSE introduces a novel approach to telecom architecture, fostering a multi-stakeholder ecosystem where Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and resource owners collaborate to share the transition costs from 5G to 6G. Given the vast scale and complexity of 6G networks, advanced automation powered by Native AI is essential. 6G-INTENSE abstracts and federates diverse computational and communication resources under an intelligent orchestration framework, DIMO, ensuring seamless, AI-driven management and optimization for next-generation connectivity.
As a key partner in the 6G-INTENSE project, eBOS plays a crucial role in multiple areas. It leads the integration of the Domain Manager and Orchestrator, integrating Native AI for automation. Additionally, eBOS co-designs AI-driven machine reasoning for intent decomposition, federated edge intelligence, and knowledge optimization while developing intent APIs and adapting software for seamless testbed integration. In dissemination and communication, eBOS enhances project visibility across multiple channels by managing the project’s website and social media presence. Furthermore, it contributes to the elaboration of exploitation and sustainability plans, leveraging its extensive industry expertise.
The 6G-INTENSE project has received funding from the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) under the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme, under Grant Agreement No. 101139266.
